Summer has flown by once again! I hope that you were able to take advantage of all of the fantastic festivals and outdoor activities that Edmonton has to offer! JCI Edmonton has an exciting calendar of events coming up, so take a look on the website and mark your blackberries!

In September we celebrate the past, present and future of Junior Chamber International Edmonton at our Alumni BBQ. This is a complimentary event for our alumni and members and their families, we look forward to seeing you! This year we have much to celebrate as our organization has grown tremendously not just in membership but in participation and quality of programming.

Right now, we are excited to congratulate Senator #304 Bill Rees on the recent naming of the Bill Rees YMCA (formerly the Enterprise Centre 10211 - 105 Street). The centre enhances individual self-reliance and leadership potential through programs and services that improve employability and provide education support. He is a founding member of The Edmonton YMCA Foundation and has helped to raise over $150,000 for YMCA International. Bill was involved with the Regina and Edmonton Jaycees in the 50’s and continues to support JCI Edmonton today. Congratulations Bill!
