Build a Better Edmonton

JCI Edmonton members believe in their city and want to see it grow and develop for the better of everyone living in it. We understand that there are always those in need and that we all are very fortunate for the positions we are in. There are always opportunities for volunteering or community involvement. We want to help work towards change—and we do.

The following are some of the local programs that JCI participates in:

Christmas Hamper Program

The Christmas Hamper Program is an annual success where we help over 150 Edmonton inner city families. JCI Edmonton members, friends & supporters of JCI assemble gift baskets and deliver the turkey dinners and holiday gifts to families that are at risk or in need.

Junior Achievement

JCI Edmonton founded Junior Achievement (Edmonton) in 1964 and continually supports this valuable organization. JA brings together educators, business people, and the community to prepare children in grades 3-12 for their business futures. Our members volunteer for the JA Company Program, Adopt a School Program, and the scholarship program for Achiever of the Year. JCI also supports JA annually with a donation to support its teaching of school business programs.
