The Annual General Meeting and Elections will take place on Wednesday October 20th, 2010 at 6pm. (Location to be determined).

At the AGM all elected positions will be giving reports on activities that have occurred since January as well as upcoming events planned. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a better understanding of how JCI Edmonton runs and what happens behind the scenes by this volunteer board.

Interested in being on a board and learning how boards run? and giving back to the community at the same time? Look at the board positions below and if interested contact Shawn.

Since we are revising the bylaws we need 75% of members to vote by way of attendance (preferred) or by way of proxy) in order to pass the bylaw revisions.

Positions on the Board and Position Term

The Board shall be elected annually by a majority vote of the Members of the Society in good standing present at the annual general meeting of the Society, properly called and constituted. Any person who is a Member in good standing of the Society is eligible to be a Director. There shall be no limit to the number of terms a Director may hold, provided that they are properly re-elected or re-appointed.

Revised Bylaws

Below are the revised bylaws. The changes were to updated the bylaws from their current level to reflect the changes that have occurred over the last 10+ years. We will be providing a summary at the AGM. To approve the bylaws we require 75% of the membership to vote. Therefore we need have you attend. If you are unable to attend please fill in the ballot and return to Shawn by email.
